FIFA Confederations Cup in 2009 will be held in South Africa from 14-28 June 2009. This championship will be opened and closed at the Ellis Park stadium in the city of Johannesburg South Africa. Total have 4 stadium that will be used in the Confederations Cup this time, namely:
* Ellis Park Stadium in the City of Johannesburg. Capacity of 62,567 spectators

* LoftusVersfeld Stadium in the city of Pretoria. Capacity of 50,000 spectators.
* Free State Stadium in the City Bloemfontein. Capacity of 48,000 spectators.
* Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg City. Capacity of 42,000 spectators.

There are 8 champions team from the various confederations under the auspices of FIFA will participate in the Confederation Cup this time, they are:
• South Africa: Host World Cup 2010
• United States: Concacaf Gold Cup Champion 2007
• Brazil: Champion Copa America 2007
• Iraq: Asian Cup Champion 2007
• Italy: World Cup Champion 2006
• Egypt: Africa Cup Champion 2008
• New Zealand: 2008 Oceania Cup Champion
• Spain: European Cup Champion 2008.
Teams are divided into 2 groups, namely:
Group A: South Africa, Spain, Iraq,and New Zealand.
Group B: Egypt, the United States, Brazil,and Italy.
